About Samagna Montessori

Samagna Montessori was born from a heartfelt response to one child’s unhappiness in a not full pledged Montessori school. In late 1997, an informal beginning was made at home with a single child. This humble seed of compassion took root, and by May 1998, it formally blossomed into Samagna Montessori House of Children with nine children.

Grounded in Authenticity

Under the expert mentorship of Mrs. Lakshmi Krishnakumar, AMI Primary Trainer, MTRT Hyderabad, Samagna quickly grew into a thriving Montessori environment. Within two years, it nurtured 45 children with 2 AMI Primary trained adults and a dedicated assistant, embodying true Montessori principles.

In April 2000, with the blessings of family elders, Samagna MHOC moved to its dedicated premises in Madhav Nagar Colony, Saidabad. By 2003, the community expanded to serve over 50 children supported by 4 AMI trained adults, reflecting sustained trust from parents and unwavering commitment to quality.

In August 2006, the premises were thoughtfully renovated to align meticulously with Montessori philosophy and AMI norms, ensuring an optimally prepared environment for the child’s holistic development.

A landmark moment arrived in January 2009 with the inauguration of Samagna Elementary School — the first AMI Elementary School in Hyderabad. The inauguration was graced by *Mrs. Lakshmi Krishnakumar* and *Ms. Carla Foster*, AMI Elementary Auxiliary Trainer from Norway. Beginning with one AMI Elementary teacher and 18 children, the Elementary program has since flourished.

Our Journey of Commitment 2017-18: Nurturing the First Steps

Samagna officially opened its Toddler Environment for children aged 13 to 19months. This was our commitment to catch them young — to honor the most absorbent years of life with a prepared environment rooted in respect, independence, and love.

In 2023: Growing With Our Children:

Staying true to our word, Samagna launched the Adolescent Community with 11 children aged 13 to 15 years. This was our commitment to not abandon them at adolescence — to walk with them through their most transformative years with purpose, work, and trust. From toddler to teen, Samagna’s commitment doesn’t shift with age. It deepens.

Today

For over 28 years, the Elementary classroom continues to thrive with committed AMI Elementary teachers, the collaborative support of respected parents, and avibrant community of 50 children.

From one child to a full Primary and Elementary community and adolescent community , Samagna Montessori remains dedicated to authentic AMI Montessorieducation — nurturing independence, respect, and a lifelong love for learning.
